Resident Evil Requiem became the fastest-selling installment in the series with 8 million copies and helped Capcom close the quarter with sales of over 23.8 million games.

apcom published its financial report for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, which ended on June 30. The company showed significant growth in revenue and profit, with game sales being the main driver of success.

The new sci-fi franchise Pragmata also had a successful launch, selling over 2.5 million copies on consoles and PC.

The main hit was Resident Evil Requiem, which set a new series record. The game sold 8 million copies in 4 months after its release, becoming the fastest-selling installment in the franchise. For comparison, the Resident Evil 4 remake, which previously held this record, took about a year and a half to achieve the same result.
